Cees Braakman Occasional Chair
Description
An exceptionally elegant occasional chair by Dutch design master, Cees Braakman, its beautiful succession of curves offset nicely by the sharp lines of the legs. Braakman's signature use of plywood lends the backrest a subtle, very comfortable spring. Price includes reupholstery. There is a small tear in the original red skai upholstery on the right hand top corner of the back rest as it is not extremely visible the chair can be sold as is for £395.

Cees Braakman and Pastoe
Pastoe underwent extensive change under the transformative leadership of Cees Braakman in the years following World War II. His designs were awarded national medals, such as at the Trienniale in Milan, and remain extremely sought after. Several of his designs are featured in museum collections such as those of the Stedlijk and the Centraal.
