Stylish wooden occasional chair by Dutch design master Cees Braakman for Pastoe, with an eye-catching appearance provided by the clean lines, floating seat and two-toned frame. Braakman's signature use of plywood lends the back rest a very comfortable springiness. Two chairs available, though sold separately.

Cees Braakman and Pastoe

Pastoe underwent extensive change under the transformative leadership of Cees Braakman in the years following World War II. His designs were awarded national medals, such as at the Trienniale in Milan, and remain extremely sought after. Several of his designs are featured in museum collections such as those of the Stedelijk and the Centraal.
