Kai Kristiansen
Kai Kristiansen is a key proponent of Danish Modern, having trained at the Danish Academy of Arts under the famed Kaare Klint. Klint is seen as a forefather to Danish Modern, teaching many of the famed practitioners in the 1950s and 60s. Kristiansen is no exception: his designs reflect the importance of ergonomics espoused by Klint, always envisaging the user at the heart of his conception. His designs are noted for their clean lines and simplicity which are often enlivened by jaunty angles and his signature 'eyelid' drawer handles.
